We are excited to recognize this year’s Wallace Education Association (WEA) scholarship recipients! The WEA, the teacher’s union of the Wallace School District, is proud to support students as they pursue educational opportunities beyond the classroom.
🚴 Justin Bryan received $200 to participate in Panhandle Gravity Squad, an outdoor mountain biking team.
Abigail and Lucille Corona each received $150 to complete First Aid/CPR training, building valuable, life-saving skills.

The Wallace Education Association (teachers’ union) is excited to offer scholarships of up to $200 to support students pursuing extracurricular learning opportunities! Eligible activities may include (but are not limited to) summer camps, music or art programs, outdoor education, or STEM programs. Priority will be given to activities that are educational in nature and in the humanities, such as arts and music.
📚 Eligibility: Students currently in grades 4–11
📅 Application Deadline: April 10, 2026

Silver Hills celebrates 80 days of school!
NO SCHOOL for the Wallace School District today, December 19th due to no water at Silver Hills and still having several areas without power.
The Wallace School District will be in session today, December 18th. Both the high school and Silver Hills have power and heat. All buses will be running except the Prichard/Murray bus.
